ArcLight to Open Nov. 7
The new 16-screen ArcLight Cinema is scheduled to open at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in North Bethesda Nov. 7, according to the ArcLight website.
This is the first East Coast location for the ArcLight company.
ArcLight Cinema will offer reserved seating, a cafe and bar, and question-and-answer sessions with producers and directors, according to Gretchen McCourt, executive vice president of ArcLight Cinemas. The theater will show independent films as well as blockbuster showings. Theater sizes range from 100 to 300 seats. Ticket prices are expected to run about 20 percent higher than average theater prices, McCourt said.
The Montgomery County Board of License Commissioners recently awarded ArcLight Cinemas a beer, wine and liquor license at its October hearing.
The theater may have some small pre-screening events prior to the 7th.
