Backpack Journalists Beat the Heat! (Photos)

Our journalists have now hit the streets to get their sports stories. They have done an amazing job preparing for their interviews and I think they are going to have some very good stories.

Yesterday was one hot day and our journalists were troopers! We started off with interviewing techniques and recapping what have learned previous. Next we went on to working with the Sony Bloggie Duo that they will be using for their projects. They learned proper shot composition and how to use the camera properly.  To get more practice, they got to go outside for our infamous “Round’ The Building with the Bloggie” video scavenger hunt. As hot as it was, they all seemed to have fun and learn. I couldn’t ask for anything better. They are working on their stories, so if you see one of them out and about, stop and give them a quote or two.

There are still spaces available in the next session of the Summer Backpack Journalism Academy which begins on July 14th. They are going fast, so if you are interested, click HERE to register and get more information.

Have a happy Fourth of July! Here’s a peek of our journalists in class:
