Body of Man Found in Wheaton Regional Park

A body of a man was found in Wheaton Regional Park on Tuesday, a Montgomery County police statement released Saturday said.

Neither the name of the man nor the cause of death were released. The statement said the investigation is continuing.

On Wednesday, police previously released that a hiker found a body in Long Branch Arliss Neighborhood Park. The death was later ruled a homicide, according to police. The person was identified as Cristopher Alfredo Funes Guerra, 20, of University Boulevard East in Silver Spring.

Guerra had been reported to MCPD as a missing person by his family Sept. 3.
