The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is hosting a public open house Oct. 30 for the Corridor Cities Tansitway (CCT) Project. The CCT will be a state-of-the-art Bus Rapid Transit line operating on a fully dedicated 15-mile corridor from the COMSAT facility near Clarksburg, Maryland to the Shady Grove Metro Station. Engineering and environmental analysis for Phase I from Metropolitan Grove to Shady Grove is actively underway. The CCT will provide transit service to new and existing centers of commerce, residential communities and educational centers such as Watkins Mill, Kentlands, the Universities at Shady Grove, Life Sciences Center, Crown Farm, and King Farm.

The Oct. 30 Open House is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Universities at Shady Grove Conference Center, 9630 Gudelsky Drive, Rockville. MTA staff and representatives will be available to take your comments and answer questions. At the meeting, you will be able to:

  • Review the Phase I alignment modifications
  • Learn more about ongoing environmental studies and field activities, station concept plans, the Area Advisory Committees and project schedule
