Council Launches Redesigned Web Site (Video)
The Montgomery County Council today (Dec. 13) launched a redesigned web site that was months in the making—and incorporates many suggestions from residents who rely on information and features on the site.
The site is accessible at: www.montgomerycountymd.gov/council.
The web site includes information on bills and legislation, master plans, zoning changes, the County budget, reports to the Council, up-to-date Council news and information on the nine Councilmembers. The site also provides easy access to packets of information about Council sessions and committee worksessions, a direct means to view past Council meetings via on-demand video and a quick link to the programming on the County’s public cable station County Cable Montgomery (CCM).
“We have taken the input we have received from the many people who follow the Council regularly and made information more readily available,” said the Council’s webmaster Namita Acharya. “We know that this project will be constantly evolving, but the Council staff and the County’s Department of Technology staff have set up our redesigned site so that we can quickly make changes when new ideas are presented to us.”
