Councilmember Sidney Katz to Meet with Community on June 3rd
Montgomery County Councilmember Sidney Katz, who represents District 3, is scheduled to meet with residents from the Derwood, Redland and Washington Grove communities at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd, at Redland Middle School.
This event is part of his continuing series of informal meetings, entitled, “Share Your Concerns With Sidney.”
Some of the hot topics expected to be discussed at this community meeting are development in the Shady Grove area, education, transportation and public safety. Councilmember Katz, who is a member of the Council’s Public Safety Committee, also may share information about the Police Department’s pilot program for body worn cameras.
“My first year representing District 3 has been filled with many issues about our County, and what is going on in our neighborhoods in particular,” said Katz. “I know many people in the Derwood, Redland and Washington Grove communities have questions about how changes in this immediate area will impact them. I want to hear their concerns and provide as much information as possible to address those concerns.”
