“County Report This Week” Wins National Telly Award

county-report-this-week-logo-720x480 (1)Montgomery County’s weekly “County Report This Week” cable television show recently was awarded a prestigious, national “Telly” award.

The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs. The Telly awards receives over 13,000 entries annually from the finest ad agencies, production companies, TV stations, cable companies, interactive agencies and corporations in the world that are judged by top industry professionals.

“County Report This Week” was inaugurated in April 2010 by the Montgomery County Office of Public Information. It airs on County Cable Montgomery and includes news and features about County government and other County agencies, including Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery College, and County municipalities, all of whom contribute material to the programs and who also broadcast the show on their channels as well.

The award-winning episode, dated January 10, 2014, was hosted by Lorna Virgili of the Public Information Office.
