Dennis Avenue Center Once Served as Mortuary for Crows (Video)

The Dennis Avenue Health Center building in Silver Spring will be demolished when a new state-of-the-art facility replaces it in about 18 months.

At the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building, retired medical director Dr. Thomas Walsh reminisced about the current facility and even gave the history of how the health center once served as a mortuary for crows waiting to be tested during the West Nile Virus scare.
