Downed Tree Causes Power Outage Overnight Along MacArthur Boulevard (PHOTOS)


Road crews clean up a downed tree along MacArthur Boulevard earlier today.

A downed tree brought down some wires near 10631 MacArthur Boulevard last night.

Pepco Spokesperson Sean Kelly said the power outage was reported to Pepco around 10 p.m. on September 1.

He said 496 customers were without power during the outage.

Power was restored around 7:15 a.m. today, according to Kelly.

Commuters may have encountered some road closures while cleanup was underway in this area earlier today.
