Film Festival – International Women’s Day

March 10, 12:00 pm at Kensington Park Library.

Two films celebrating women and their achievements. First film is A League of Their Own (PG). Second film is Suffragette (PG-13). Snacks and beverages provided with a 15 min break in between.

To celebrate International Women’s Day and the social, cultural, and political achievements of women, KP will be holding a Women’s Film Festival on March 10 from 12-5.

12 PM – The first film, A League of Their Own (PG), is a sports comedy drama that follows the story of two sisters who join the first female professional baseball league. It takes places during the 1940s and stars Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Madonna, Rosie O’Donnell, and Tom Hanks.

2:30 PM -The second film, Suffragette (PG-13), is a historical period drama about women’s right to vote in the UK in the early 20th century. It stars Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne-Marie Duff, Ben Whishaw, and Meryl Streep.

Snacks and beverages provided with a 15 min break in between.
