Five Things to Know for April 11 in Montgomery County

Here are five things to know for Wednesday, April 11, in Montgomery County:

1. Epic Awards: In just two weeks, Montgomery Community Media will host its annual “EPIC Awards” (Excellence in Programming and Innovative Content). This awards ceremony will recognize the creators of outstanding and innovative multimedia content distributed on broadcast and/or broadband platforms. You don’t want to miss it! 2. Budget Hearing:

3. Food Rescue Training:  Residents will join staff from Manna to learn about safe food handling and transportation of rescued food. The training will be held at Silver Spring United Methodist Church, 33 University Boulevard East and begins at 7 p.m.

4. Identity Theft: Montgomery County’s Office of Consumer Protection will host a workshop at the Wheaton Library branch on how to protect yourself against identity theft.
