1. MCPS Early Release: Montgomery County Public Schools close early today, just in time for the weekend!

2. Census Jobs Information Sessions:  Learn about available Census 2020 jobs from 10 a.m. to noon at the Silver Spring Library, 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Aspen Hill Library, and 1 to 3 p.m. at the Kensington Library.

3. Discover Montgomery Parks:  Tackle invasive plants as a Weed Warrior at Sligo Creek Stream Valley Park, walk the underground railroad at the Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park, and attend the Rockwood Manor Open House Sunday. Find these and more events in the Montgomery Parks Weekend Guide.

4. Final FeBREWary Event: During February, you can visit local breweries and green up your home with energy efficient LED lights. Bring old incandescent and CFL bulbs and the Department of Environmental Protection will swap them out for new LEDs. 5. Intercounty Connector Weekend Closure:  The westbound lanes of the ICC will be detoured at I-95 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
