1. Tameka Montgomery headlines this month’s Small Business University event at Montgomery Community Media today at 8 a.m.

2. Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Jack Smith released a video asking all students to remain in school and participate in the school’s daily education program. The video comes in response to increasing concerns about student safety during protests, which have been happening on and off school property this week.

3. The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services hosts the Nadim Khan Memorial Homeless Resource today from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

4. County officials are scheduled to announce the launch of a naming contest for the Bus Rapid Transit system (BRT) at 9 a.m.

5. Blues-based singer-songwriter Samuel James is performing at The Mansion at Strathmore tonight.
