Hogan Declares Acts of Hate at Jewish Schools as “Despicable and Unacceptable”

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan describes the recent threats and acts of hate directed at Jewish schools and community centers in Maryland as “despicable and unacceptable.”

Our administration condemns all forms of racism and discrimination,” wrote Hogan on his Facebook page. “I offer my full support to the Jewish community, and the Maryland State Police stands ready to assist local and federal law enforcement as needed.”

On Monday, Montgomery County police were called to the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville for the report of a bomb threat.

In January, the Bender JCC Community Center was evacuated because of a bomb threat.
