House Fire on Cromwell Drive Causes $100,000 in Damage

fire truck close up for slider 450 x 280Montgomery County firefighters responded to a house fire around 1 a.m. today (April 16) at 5708 Cromwell Drive in the Wood Acres community of Bethesda.

Fire Spokesperson Pete Piringer reports on his Twitter account that the fire started in an electrical panel in the basement of a utility room at the house.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they reported smoke showing from the house.

Piringer said the fire caused $75,000 damage to the house and $25,000 to the contents of the house.

According to Piringer, the residents evacuated the two-story, split level house before firefighters arrived on scene. There were no injuries.
