LGBT History Month

The Montgomery County Council on Nov. 27 celebrated the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community for its many accomplishments and contributions as part of the recognition of LGBT History Month.

The ceremonies in Rockville saluted county public school leaders and students, who through their Gay Straight Alliances, work diligently to provide support, create safe spaces and take a stance against bullying.

County Council members George Leventhal and Hans Riemer presented a proclamation on behalf of the Council.
