President to Make Statement on Release of Alan Gross
UPDATED: President Barack Obama is scheduled to make a statement at noon today on the release of Alan Gross from a Cuban prison.
Marylander Alan Gross has been released from a Cuban prison and is on his way back to the U.S.

According to media reports, Gross was imprisoned by the Cuban government for setting up internet access in the country. He recently threatened a hunger strike if he was not released and his health has reportedly been failing.
No additional details were immediately available.
