MCM Office Renovations (Video)

Montgomery Community Media has made huge strides over this past year and we’re nearing the end of one more big accomplishment, remodeling our offices.  Anyone who has stepped foot in our door over the past month is well aware of how busy we’ve been in re-organizing the station.  Coming up on twenty-seven years of operation this station has had a lot of traffic.  From the access shows, to our news programming, we have been watched in the homes of hundreds of thousands of Montgomery County residents.  What better way to prove to our audience and our members that we are going to be here for the county’s residents for years to come than to update our facilities.

In the past couple of years we have updated our cameras and edit bays to incorporate HD footage.  Access users have the ability now to shoot and upload HD content without having to spend thousands of dollars.  To help accommodate our access users needs and to help broadcast their programming we have seeked out the most cost effective ways to distribute content online, by streaming live and providing access to a library of content through our website.  We have hosted a presence on for a number of years now as well as YouTube, and now accompanying the renovations, is our new and improved website.  Here at the new website, our access users, as well as the general public, can comment and contribute to our ever growing content.  We will host show blogs and continue to post any and all relevant news about our station.  From class schedules, programming schedules, and offering ways for the county’s residents to interact and get involved here at the station, the new website will be as current and innovative as our new offices.

We have worked hard to establish ourselves as a media center for the county, and these renovations are sure to be the start of new beginnings here at Montgomery Community Media.
