Meet Jeremy Sultan

Hello MCM Community! My name is Jeremy Sultan and I am very excited to be an Assistant Teacher for the Docs In Progress Documentary Filmmaking Summer Camp. I am a current Cinematography Certificate student at West Los Angeles College and a Skidmore College Business grad.

This past week was the first of two weeks for the Documentary Camp.  In only four days (given the 4th of July holiday) the campers divided into three teams and completed the first two stages of their respective documentaries–pre-production and production–without a hitch! All off the campers are awesome and all three documentaries are bound to be extremely interesting. I am excited to see how my group of campers, The Trolley Boys, decide to go about editing their project on the National Capital Trolley Museum. So far they have really worked well together as a team, with Neil as the Director, Mike as the Director of Photography and David as the Sound Mixer and soon-to-be Editor. Tomorrow they will begin creating an Edit Decision List (EDL) and organize their footage in the order they want to present it, complete with B-Roll, archive photographs and titles/graphics.

Looking forward to a great week at camp, check back soon!
