Message From the Universe: The Importance of Friends and Family

In the end, all you have are memories, and usually the ones you have with friends are the ones you treasure most.

We are all living this constant pursuit of becoming rich and famous. We also tend to forget, through this journey, what is really important to our mental and physical well-being. We take things for granted, especially when it comes to friends and family. We have that sense of entitlement that it is OK to disappear for a few years to pursue our dreams and come back into their lives like nothing happened. Well, the truth is that it’s not OK. If you made that decision to ignore everyone just because you wanted to reach the epitome of success, and expect them to forgive you for the way you treated them, they may not take your return as pleasantly as you think. Everyone has feelings and breaking them can have nasty ramifications. Your journey to success can be balance with spending time with friends and family. Never forgo them just because of your relentless pursuit of money and fame.

Easier said than done, right? I am sure ambitious people out there are rolling their eyes over the above statements. I am struggling to balance both myself, as my ambitions takes over my logic and feelings at times. Yes, we want to reach ultimate success in life and live our dreams. We want to provide the best for our family but never wait to do that until you reach your goals. Do it today, not when you get to a certain amount in your bank account, or until the business gets to a certain level of accomplishment. The time is now, not yesterday and especially not tomorrow. Mindfulness should be practice daily so you can value the time you have on earth with the people that matters the most to you. Never wait until you get to a certain point to say: “OK, now I can relax and spend time with family and friends”. It may be too late at this point.
