Time is a noun (or a verb, depending how you use it) and it is defined as: “the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole”. So how is time relevant to your own existence? You hear many say: “I don’t have time for this or don’t have time to relax” or this and that. Is someone THAT busy not to be able to just sit and relax? Is it a lack of time in their schedule that stops them from doing what they want OR they do not manage their time properly and can’t really take advantage and live the life they want? We all have the same exact 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour and 60 seconds in a minute. How can you make sure to utilize the time given to you and be more productive? How can you efficiently complete your tasks on a daily basis and still have time left to enjoy what you love doing? It can be difficult to master the organization part of your day and learn to be more effective with it. First, you need to sit down and analyze your daily responsibilities at work, hour by hour. Second, estimate the time that you spend talking to your coworkers about the game last night or what you did the past weekend. Calculate the time spent on social media which in most cases, is not related to actual work and add up these wasted minutes or hours and determine how you can use that free time for something that you love doing.

It always feels like you are doing something very important, for either work or home, which I do not doubt. For you to create time more efficiently, is to use the time that you already have and compress it into a zip file, just like you would do for large files that you send online and convert them into a .zip or .rar file. Use that extra space that YOU created in your schedule and use it the way you like. You did meet all your responsibilities at work and if you efficiently created more time for yourself, you still can move ahead at work and do more than is needed. If there is a will, there is a way. If you know what you want out of life, then go out there and be ready to tweak things a little to maximize your time and workload. There is no reason why you can’t make it and succeed while still enjoy life. It is all about working smart, and avoid putting so many extra hours that aren’t required to get the job done.

Learn to be more efficient and you will see how much more time you have in your hand. Don’t feel guilty about that, on the contrary. Feel more accomplished, feel like you’ve done a great job compressing your time and having some available for your leisure. The main purpose is to free up some time for you to enjoy life and spend time with the people that matters the most. Work will ALWAYS be there, but to maintain a healthy relationship with your family and friends requires you to be THERE for them. Family and friends can’t be compressed into a .zip file or anything. They are humans just like you that have feelings and requires quality time with the person they love and enjoy being with. Never ignore these requests or you will lose more than just time.
