Missing Silver Spring Man Located Deceased

UPDATED on July 21 at 2:29 p.m.
Police have located John William Vere, Jr. of Silver Spring deceased. Police said no foul play is suspected in the death.

Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a missing Silver Spring man.

John William Vere, Jr, 62, of the 1200 block of Palermo Drive in Silver Spring, was last seen at 8:30 a.m. on July 17 at his home. He is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, and weighing 190 pounds. He has gray hair and wears glasses.

Police and family are concerned for Vere’s emotional and physical well-being.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Verephoto-2Vere is asked to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240.773.6870 or the police non-emergency number at 301.279.8000.

    Why hasn’t this been updated yet???? There are people asking me and my co-workers if they should get a search team together!!!! It is awful that people still feel he is out there somewhere, waiting for help…because that is what some of our customers believe! I am fed up with the lack of information.
