Monty Awards 2011 Announced
Montgomery Community Media (MCM) invited all active members to the 26th Annual Volunteer Awards & Recognition Competition (also known as the Monty Awards). The competition recognizes excellence in community television productions produced at MCM or within Montgomery County. Award-winning programs will be honored at this year’s Volunteer Awards Ceremony.
The entries were be judged by staff and volunteers from local public access centers, and other media outlets from within the Washington metropolitan area. The judges chose a winner and an honorable mention in each program category. Producers, presenters, and technicians will receive recognition in each program category.
The event was held on November 13, 2011 at the Black Rock Center for the Arts in Germantown.
