MTA Public Hearings on Changes to ICC Bus Routes

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) gives notice of three public hearings proposing changes to the ICC Commuter Bus routes. The MTA is proposing to reallocate transit resources to areas of higher demand. As part of this  reallocation, the MTA is proposing the elimination of three commuter bus routes: Nos. 202, 203, and 205.

• Route No. 202 operates weekday peak service between Gaithersburg and DOD/Fort Meade.
• Route No. 203 operates weekday peak service between Columbia and Bethesda.
• Route No. 205 operates weekday peak service between College Park and Germantown.

These bus routes have fallen short of ridership and cost recovery goals. The proposed date to discontinue service is August 1.

The public hearings will be held as follows:

Council Chambers
2nd Floor
