New Jersey Woman Dies in Bethesda Crash
UPDATED, Nov. 29, 10:40 p.m. –
Montgomery County Police are reporting that the 88-year-old woman involved in the accident on Democracy Boulevard Saturday has died.
According to police, the passenger of the Toyota Camry, identified as Betty Nelson, 88, of the 1900 block of Frontage Road in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, succumbed to her injuries.
On November 29 at approximately 11:34 a.m., Montgomery County Police responded to a collision on Democracy Boulevard at the ramp from southbound I-270 involving a 2004 Toyota Camry, a 2012 Ford F250 (owned by Montgomery County Government), and a 2008 Mercedes. Montgomery County Fire Rescue transported all persons involved in the collision to a local hospital. One of the passengers of the Toyota Camry, an 88 year old female, had life threatening injuries. All others involved had non-life threatening injuries.
This collision remains under investigation. Detectives are looking into the traffic light cycle at the time of the incident. Any witnesses are urged to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.

It happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 29 on Democracy Boulevard at the ramp from southbound I-270.
Police said the collision involved a 2004 Toyota Camry, a 2012 Ford F250 (owned by Montgomery County government) and a 2008 Mercedes.
Fire and rescue crews reportedly transported all the drivers involved in this collision to a local hospital.
According to police, the collision remains under investigation. Detectives said they are looking into the traffic light cycle at the time of the incident.
