UPDATED – The Northwest Jags scored early and often in the second quarter opening up the lead.

The Jags started up the quarter with a 60-plus-yard touchdown to make it 22-0. Paint Branch then fumbled in their own red zone and Northwest converted to make it 28-0. Paint Branch blocked the point after.

Another score and an onside kick gave Northwest a commanding 35-0 at the half.

It’s a wet and cold night for the match-up against Paint Branch and Northwest high schools and early fumbles might be numb hands or nerves.

Paint Branch started with the football but both teams committed early first quarter fumbles. By the end of the first quarter it was all Northwest scoring and a tally of 15-0.
