UPDATED NWS Cancels Flood Warning for Montgomery County

photo of car in rainUPDATED: The National Weather Service  canceled the flood warning for portions of Montgomery County at 5;52 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning until 10:15 p.m. for portions of Montgomery County.

According to the warning, thunderstorms are producing heavy rain across the area. Up to one inch has already fallen and more rain is expected. The locations that may experience flooding are Aspen Hill, Burtonsville, Colesville, Fairland, Four Corners, Kemp Mill, North Bethesda, North Kensington, Olney, Potomac, Redland, Rockville, Wheaton-Glenmont, Wheaton, and White Oak.

Remember, turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads.
