Police Investigate Fatal Collision on Muncaster Mill Road
Montgomery County Police continue to investigate a fatal collision that occurred late on Sunday, May 31st, on Muncaster Mill Road in the Rockville area and investigators say alcohol may have played a factor in this crash.
Detectives say Diane Alice Corrao, age 50 of Gaithersburg, was killed in this crash.
According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates that a black, 2014 Ford Fusion, driven by Juan Francisco Diana was traveling southbound on Muncaster Mill Road, south of Olde Mill Run.
For reasons still under investigation, police said the black Ford Fusion crossed the center line and struck the white Ford Taurus, that was traveling north and operated by Corrao. Police said Corrao died from her injuries at the scene of the crash. Police said Juan Francisco Diana was transported to Suburban Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to a police account, investigators said Diana admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving Sunday evening. The analysis of Juan Diana’s blood is pending, according to police.
