Riderwood Announces Hiring of Jennifer Hill to Realty & Moving Services Team
Many folks who move to senior living communities of all sizes have lived in their homes for twenty, thirty, forty or more years. The process of downsizing, staging and packing can be a challenge, but retirement communities such as Riderwood have made the transition much simpler with programs that put new residents in touch with preferred moving and realty professionals. They can also receive hands-on guidance from employees like Jennifer Hill, who is featured in the article below. It’s another example of the senior living industry keeping pace with a new generation of customer.
Riderwood, the Erickson Living retirement community, announced the hiring of Mrs. Jennifer Hill to its highly successful realty & moving services team.
Mrs. Hill will serve as a personal moving consultant, joining Diane Thometz in that role in the community’s Department of Sales & Marketing.
Her main responsibility is to assist clients in staging their houses to get top dollar with the least amount of time on the market. She will provide curb appeal resources and refer preferred Realtors® with proven success in the community.
In 2014, nearly 93 percent of new residents at Riderwood utilized components of the realty and moving service program; there were 210 individualized home appointments to clients located in Maryland and out-of-state.
Providing professional advice on downsizing is another service offered in the program. Mrs. Hill will present a detailed review of a client’s new Riderwood floor plan, helping to select furnishings and belongings to be moved and offering support for the sale, storage and donation of remaining personal items.
Additionally, she will assist in the moving process by offering a timeline for packing and partnering with highly skilled senior move managers.
A resident of Columbia, Maryland, Mrs. Hill has served as a teacher and volunteer with the Howard County Public School System. She holds a marketing degree from Virginia Tech University and supports the United States Naval Academy Parent Program.
In its independent living neighborhood, Riderwood has 1,842 one and two-bedroom apartment homes in a variety of custom floor plans and pricing options.
