Paula Ross, Director of Development & Marketing at Metropolitan Ballet Theatre (MBT) has been selected for the Class of 2014 of Leadership Montgomery Core program. A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, Leadership Montgomery brings together current and emerging leaders and offers them a unique opportunity to increase their understanding of the complex social and economic issues of Montgomery County and the region. Through a series of interactive sessions, participants are challenged to learn about and experience leadership by evaluating issues, considering thought-provoking viewpoints, and examining leadership styles.

Leadership Montgomery, a member of the Association of Leadership Programs, has over 2,000 graduates and participants, from its Core, Senior, Executive and Youth programs, actively involved in the community serving on State, County and nonprofit boards and committees.

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre, now celebrating its 25th year of dance education and outreach, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts education organization, dedicated to providing a premier dance education to approximately 300 students, offering accessible, professional ballet performances such as The Nutcracker, and bringing dance outreach to underserved members of the community. MBT is supported in part by the Montgomery County Government and the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County, and the Maryland State Arts Council.

Ms. Ross has been serving the organization for 10 months in development, marketing and strategy functions. An active volunteer in several organizations, Ms. Ross is a VP of her local PTA, and is a former Board member of the Kentlands Community Foundation (KCF). She is the founder of the Kentlands Downtown Partnership and lead organizer of Kentlands Day, which raises thousands of dollars each year for local schools and the KCF.
