Seneca Valley’s Message on Pedestrian Safety (Video)

Seneca Valley High School seniors Joshua Davies, Morgan Law and Brian Boateng recently produced a public service announcement on pedestrian safety. In the fall, fellow classmate Christina Morris-Ward was struck and killed by a vehicle on Germantown Road and Wisteria Drive on her way to school on the morning of October 31, 2012. The three seniors interviewed Christina’s mother, Gwendolyn Ward and others to produce this video. They want viewers to remember it can happen to you. Take a look at their video:


Pedestrian Safety Tips

Obey the Laws

  • Cross only at the crosswalk
  • Only cross with the walk signal

Reduce Distractions

  • Take out earbuds at intersections
  • Don’t text and cross

Increase Visibility

  • Wear bright colors
  • Walk in groups
