Severe Storm Hits Montgomery County (Live Blog)

UPDATED: Thousands of homes are without power in Montgomery County as a massive storm hit the area Thursday evening.

As of 7 p.m., more than 29,000 Pepco customers are without power in the County, according to online outage maps.

Montgomery County fire spokesperson Pete Piringer said that multiple power lines are down throughout the County and a woman was reportedly struck by lightening during the storm at Georgetown Road and Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda.
