Shanelle Spivey

Please tell us a little about yourself.
I was born in Montgomery County and raised in Prince George’s County. I currently reside in Silver Spring, MD with my 12-year-old daughter. I am a self employed real estate photographer. My hobby is dancing.

How long have you been associated with MCM and what have you been doing?
I became a certified producer in June 2015. I produced my first show in January of this year.
Please describe all the skills and abilities that you would bring to the Board of Directors.
I began producing The Rising Spivey Show, a tv talk show featuring local artist and entrepreneurs in 2010. It aired on DCTV for nearly five years. During that time I ran a one woman production company. I specialized in video marketing, event coverage, and weddings. Along with producing, I edit and appear on camera as a host. My ability to engage with all audiences which will allow me to influence support of MCM.

Please describe your vision for MCM.
I look forward to being a part of the decision-making processes at MCM, and continuing to uphold their mission to inform and inspire the county.

How will you advocate on behalf of access users while on the Board?
As an access user myself, I can understand and appreciate the energy and effort it takes to volunteer. It would be my goal to protect access users interests.

If chosen for the role, I will be a positive, passionate, and hard working board member with fresh ideas and energy!
