Talk about lucky.

A Silver Spring man has won the same lottery scratch off game twice this year, and he bought both tickets at the same retailer, according to information posted on the Maryland Lottery website.

Jorge Matamoros won his first $5,000 prize about a month ago, and this month he scratched off a $50,000 top-prize winning instant ticket.

The 39-year-old, who works in construction, got both wins on the 20x The Cash game. He bought his winning tickets at 29 Convenience Mart in Silver Spring.

“This still feels like such a dream to me,” he said. “I certainly didn’t think there would be any more big winners at this store so it totally took me by surprise.”

After paying down some of his bills, he said he hopes to invest his winnings into a new business venture.

“I’d like to start real estate business refurbishing and selling homes,” he said. “I’ve learned a lot about homes in the business I’m in so it would be great to make a living doing what I love to do, fixing up homes.”
