ATMs Targeted in Burglaries at Two Gas Stations in Germantown; Police Investigating

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department are investigating two separate gas station burglaries in Germantown. Police say they happened on Jan. 3, just minutes apart, and they believe the same suspects committed both crimes.

According to authorities, the two suspects got away with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) from one gas station.

The first burglary happened at the Freestate Gas Station located on the 20600 block of Frederick Road at 4:16 a.m. Officers responded to a commercial alarm at the location. Police say the suspects attempted to break into the ATM but were unsuccessful.

The second happened at the Sunoco Gas Station located on the 19200 block of Frederick Road. Officers responded to a commercial alarm at the location. In this incident, the suspects were successful in stealing the ATM from the business.

Police released a video of the two suspects.
