Washington Folk Festival at Glen Echo

The 33rd Annual Washington Folk Festival will be held from noon to 7 p.m. June 1 and 2 at Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Blvd. The festival celebrates the diversity of folk music in the Washington Area and is presented by the Folklore Society of Greater Washington. More than 400 area musicians, storytellers, dancers and craftsmen will be featured. Seven stages will simultaneously present live music and dance throughout the park. The Bumper Car Pavilion will feature a craft market. The festival is free to the public and occurs rain or shine.

Parking is limited; free shuttle bus service is available from the Geico parking lot at 5260 Western Ave., Chevy Chase, which is two blocks from the Friendship Heights Metro station. More information is at FSGW Washington Folk Festival.
