Winter Storm Warning for Feb. 12-13

MoMCDOT Plow snow reponseUPDATED The National Weather Service has upgraded a winter storm watch to a winter storm warning for Montgomery County from Feb. 12-13. Heavy snow and ice accumulations are now imminent.

A winter storm warning means that significant amounts of snow, sleet, or freezing rain are expected.

According to a message from Alert Gaithersburg, travel disruptions within the County and region are likely as roads quickly become snow covered and icy.

Caution should be used during any travel and residents should remain alert for ongoing plow/salt operations. Deteriorating weather conditions are now imminent, according to the alert.
