B-CC, Whitman Soccer Teams Eye Maryland Class 4A State Titles

There is nothing like raising a championship trophy in sports and for both the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School girls soccer team and Walt Whitman High School boys squad, they are on the verge of doing just that. B-CC faces off against Perry Hall High School for the Maryland Class 4A State Title at 5p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at University of Maryland-Baltimore County Stadium while Whitman plays Leonardtown at 5p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, also at UMBC.

Whitman is looking for the school’s 12th overall state title and first since 2019. So far in the playoffs this year, the Vikings have yet to be scored on, including a 4-0 semifinal win over Parkdale. The closest game for Whitman in the postseason was a 1-0 overtime quarterfinal victory against Quince Orchard. Whitman rolls in to the final game with an impressive 16-3 record.

B-CC also has yet to allow a goal in the state playoff run with a 2-0 win over Severn Run in the semifinals. The Barons are 12-2-2 on the season riding a six-game winning streak.
