Montgomery County Police report a car crash outside of Damascus leaves one man dead and four others injured, including a child.
On Saturday, August 8, at around 7:22 a.m., county police officers and fire and rescue services were dispatched to the 24000 block of Ridge Road outside of Damascus following reports of a serious crash.
Officers discovered a silver Ford Transit van and a black Chrysler Pacifica minivan on site. An adult male passenger in the Chrysler minivan sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene, officials say.
The three adults and one child who occupied the Chrysler and the driver of the Ford transit van were brought to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation. MCM will update the story as more information becomes available.

All five were traveling in one vehicle.
The decedent, an adult male was the lone occupant of the second vehicle.
