Five Things to Know for Oct. 24 in Montgomery County

Here are five things to know today, Oct. 24, in Montgomery County:

1. Community Service Week Continues: Montgomery County’s 32nd annual Community Service Week offers residents of all ages the opportunity to volunteer for a variety of nonprofits, schools, and government agencies throughout the county. Click here for a list of options.

2. Youth Town Hall: Montgomery County Council will join Montgomery County teens for a Youth Town Hall meeting from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m at the Montgomery County Council Building. A reception in the 2nd floor cafeteria begins at 6:00 pm.

3. 2018 Mid-Atlantic Recovery Summit: The Summit will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders for information, discussion, and networking, with the aim of increasing food recovery in the Mid-Atlantic. Click here for more information.

4. Free Flu Shots: Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services will offer a free Flu Vaccine Clinic today at the Universities at Shady Grove Building II. An appointment is required.
