1. The Montgomery County Council is meeting today and on the agenda: Proclamation recognizing Day in the Life of Montgomery County by Council President Floreen. The Council is also scheduled to introduce a bill to raise the minimum wage.

2. A facilities and boundaries hearing is scheduled to be held by the Montgomery County Board of Education with the Gaithersburg, Wootton, and Magruder clusters.

3. NASA Astrobiologist Pamela Conrad is scheduled to host a talk at the Montgomery College Germantown campus on “Twenty First Century Exploration – Pick a Planet!”

4. The Takoma Park Library is celebrating author Beverly Cleary’s 100th birthday during its “Drop Everything and Read” event.

5. It’s movie night at Long Branch Library. You can catch the sci-fi flick “Enders Game” at 5:30 p.m.
