1. Pepco Savings Day: It’s going to be another hot one today, and Pepco is asking its customers to conserve energy.

2. Local Legislation: The Montgomery County Council is expected to take action on Bill 17-15 today that addresses predatory towing of vehicles parked on private property and Bill 33-15 that seeks to improve taxi service in Montgomery County by helping the existing taxi structure better compete with new types of services.

3. Public Hearing on Liquor Control:  The Council’s Ad Hoc Committee on Liquor Control will hold a public hearing tonight about the county’s Department of Liquor Control.

4.  Civic Duty: County Executive Ike Leggett spent a good portion of Monday at the Montgomery County Circuit Courthouse but says he was not selected for jury duty.

5. Domestic Violence:  A conversation about domestic violence is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Upcounty Regional Services Center, 12900 Middlebrook Road in Germantown.
