Man Struck By Train in Wheaton Rescued

Metro Transit Police are reporting Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services rescued a man from a trackbed in Wheaton.

The Metro Police tweeted, “Based on video review, an adult male intentionally placed himself on the tracks as the train was entering the station.”

Battalion Fire Chief Kelvin Thomas, the assistant public information officer for MCFRS, tweeted that the man was taken to a local hospital and is being treated for serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
