MCM Wins First Ever Emmy Award

Montgomery Community Media has reached a major milestone in its 30 plus year history by winning its first ever National Capital Emmy Award!

Carolyn Raskauskus and Ben Romero won the Emmy on Saturday at the 61st Emmy Awards at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center for a feature story they shot and produced about Juan Pineda, a local artist who transformed the Bethesda Metro Station.

During the acceptance speech, Raskauskus thanked MCM’s Nannette Hobson, Joe Yasharoff, Gaynelle Evans, Vincent Sarageno, Jimmy Albert, and John Walker.
