Message From the Universe: When Enough is More than You Expected

“How much longer before you revel in the awareness that you are enough, that you’ve done enough, and that you’re now worthy of your heart’s greatest desires? What has to happen for you to give this to yourself?

No biggie. Just wondering. Take your time.

The Universe”©Mike Dooley, http://tut.com

We are our worst critics and no one else will be badgering us like we do for ourselves. When we accomplish something great, we feel like we could have done more or better. When we make money, we feel it is not enough, hence, we need to work harder to accomplish the goal of making more. There is never enough in our mind when it comes to personal success. We tend to look at others to compare what we’ve done and what they’ve done. We also seem to always compare our weaknesses with other people’s strength and this is where to get it wrong. Everyone have their own set of challenges and conflicts to overcome. We all have our own struggles and it is important to respect ourselves based on them. In your journey to success, you will work your butt off to accomplish all the goals you’ve given yourself at the beginning. You will sacrifice, not attend family events, be working godly hours that will eventually have negative repercussion on your health. Once you reach the goals, you will arrive to where you were aiming to go and ask the universal question that all successful people ask themselves: “Now WHAT?”. Up to the next goal? Is that how you want to live your life? Jumping from one goal to the next and not enjoying your journey is the right way to go. Let’s say you are working on a venture, and it requires you to put in 120 hours per week, working non stop to a point of burn-out. You are strong enough to work through that burn-out dreaming of joining the elite class. You miss important event with family and friends, some weddings, some funerals, and so much more along the line. However, after a couple of years of mind blowing work load, your venture fails miserably. How will you react? How will you deal with the failure? How will you come out of it and pick yourself back up? Will you let this failure destroy your future dreams? How about all of what you missed throughout this journey?

So many questions to answer right? So what do you do when you are faced with this depressing scenario? Here is the good news. I just looked into the future for you, maybe 2 to 5 years. I am presenting you with some options that are hopefully NOT going to happen, but if it does, then you need to change your habits today. When you are working through your journey, make sure to leave some time for your own life and the one of your family. Never put in the 120 hours a week and allow potential burn-out to destroy your health. Go and attend these wonderful occasions, respect the deceased by attending their funeral, spend time with your kids and enjoy what life has to offer. You want to enjoy life while you aim for your goals, and if for instance, the Universe feels that this venture wasn’t going to get you to that elite class of successful entrepreneurs, you can always look back and say: “Hey, at least I was there for my cousin’s wedding, or my grandfather funeral, or whatever else”. So the failure of this venture won’t damage you as much as if you would have missed living your life, and all for nothing. This is when people feel damaged and depressed. So here you go, I just answered the few questions I asked at the end of the first paragraph. One more thing to share from Dalai Lama: ” People will spend the first half of their lives to gain wealth at the expense of their health, and spend the second half of their lives to use that wealth to fix their health”. How is that logical? You tell me.
