I appreciated your podcast. We are a grass roots prevention group based in Montgomery County. We arrange presentations, fundraisers, sponsor conferences, and participate in Task Force meetings. We currently have members on the Education and Outreach Committee and the Legal
Affairs committee. Thank you for your important contribution to the safety of our county.

Why are the “johns” given the choice to simply pay a $50 fine and do 40 hours of community service and the “prostitutes” face the full penalty? Shouldn’t there be a similar option for both, particularly when they may have been subjected to these threats of violence and poor living conditions? If the “prostitutes” have found themselves in a situation they cannot escape, but the “johns” are there of their own free will 100% of the time, why are we treating them as if they are less culpable than the “prostitutes”?
