National Weather Service Extends Flood Watch

The National Weather Service has extended the flood watch in Montgomery County until 8:00 Saturday night as periods of rain continue across the region.  A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on the current forecasts.  Residents should expect additional rainfall amounts up to half inch, according to officials.

The primary concern is flooding of small streams and low-lying areas.   Saturated ground may cause trees to become uprooted and toppled.
