MHP, which develops affordable housing communities throughout Montgomery County, is distributing toys to children and teens in need this Christmas Eve.
For the 27th year, MHP will be delivering gifts through the Angels for Christmas Toy Drive.
Four volunteer Santas, ambulances and police vehicles, and many volunteers will deliver 1,400 wrapped gifts at its Amherst Square, Pembridge Square and Amherst Garden apartment communities.
The toys were donated by residents at 30 drop boxes throughout the county.
Also on Christmas Eve, Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse in Rockville will donate 300 hot meals to Rockville first responders and Shepherd’s Table in Silver Spring.
The Chapman Avenue restaurant is expected to open Dec. 28,
