Capitol Police Officer from Wheaton Gets Emotional at Jan. 6 Hearings

U.S. Capitol Officer Harry Dunn of Wheaton teared up as he sat in the Capitol building he is sworn to protect while watching the prime time live Select Committee hearings concerning the Jan. 6 attack.

The hearings were led by Committee Chair Rep. Bennie Thompson and Vice Chair Rep. Lynn Cheney. U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin sits on that committee.

Dunn was one of the officers who struggled to hold back an angry and violent mob rushing in and through the Capitol.

“They were attacking us from all sides of the building,” he told MyMCM two-and-a-half months ago. “They were extremely angry. That level of anger, I’ve never seen before.”

Listen to his own words about that day when he sat down with MyMCM on March 25.
