Pharmacy Delivery Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Elderly Woman in Bethesda

Police said a pharmacy delivery man from Bethesda was arrested and charged for the alleged sexual assault of an elderly woman.

Yuriy Ravdugin, 65, faces charges of second-degree assault and sexual offenses, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).

According to police, he is accused of entering the woman’s home and forcibly touching her.

Officers responded to a home on East-West Highway in Bethesda last week on Jan. 10 for a reported sexual assault that happened earlier. The complainant reported that the elderly woman was assaulted by the suspect.

Detectives identified the suspect as Ravdugin and got an arrest warrant.

He was arrested Wednesday while making deliveries in Takoma Park.

Police said Friday he is currently at the county’s Central Processing Unit and awaits a bond hearing.
